It does take time to set it up but it's totally worth it! It really makes you think twice before making some purchases because of the red that comes with over spending. I don't like the idea of by store because one month I buy my moisturizer at Walgreens and then Target the next based on sales. The budget would be off

I really like how you’ve explained all this—very helpful! Wow, they’ve really changed the look since they first began, it looks nice! I tried it when it first came out, I liked it a lot but I found that it was way more detail than I really needed and having so much structure in managing my money made me claustrophobic. Now, this is also true for ANY budgeting program I have tried. I have now simplified it to 4 categories and realized all I need to know is what has to get paid out of that week’s paycheck, which includes savings and sinking funds (categorized as Bills), it has been a huge game-changer! I can see how helpful YNAB could be although my first impression was sullied by the company forcing me to search for the price. I know it's a common marketing practice, but I hate having to scroll through ten screens to find the cost.
