This video shows the Deform-nut being applied to a carbon fiber sheet using the pneumatic application tool. The process is fast and results in a strong mechanical connection.

The Deform-Nut is a specialized threaded insert that can be applied without access to the reverse side of a part. Because of this, the Deform-Nut is perfect for creating threaded attachments on metal tubing, sheet metal, box structures, and composites. It is easy and quick to apply, extremely versatile, aesthetically appealing and with high mechanical resistance.

Besides being an ideal system for the assembly of parts on box-structures, this insert is a valid alternative to the use of welded nuts due to the speed of assembly and as it is possible to use it on already finished parts. For this reason, it can be used at any stage of the production process, giving technicians plenty of freedom at the design stage.

Deform-Nuts can be fitted to any material (aluminum, steel, fiberglass, plastic and composite materials, etc.) that has a minimum thickness of 0.5mm. Thus, problems involving threading on thin elements are solved.

To fit Deform-Nuts all you need is to drill a cylindrical or hexagonal hole.

Once fitted, the Deform-Nut® requires no further finishing operations.
