Luciano Pavarotti Greatest Tenor Ever

One of the things that made Pavarotti so special is that when he sang, he didn't sound like he was trying to sound like an opera singer. He sounded like he was singing in his own voice. Most of the other greats all sound like they are trying to emulate a certain tone. Luciano was totally natural in his singing.

It wasn't the high notes, the technique, the smiling, the personality. It was the fullness and richness of his voice.
The Stradivarius of singers. It just sends shivers, and that's not acquired. It's innate.

Peolple, commoners, loved him! He made opera "cool" and known all over the planet, not just for few, but for everyone to enjoy

As a tenor myself the passagio's and the breath control he had were super human. You could really feel like he filled everything inside, not only the lungs, with air

In the dictionary under "Tenor" there's his picture. He was THE tenor. The one and only. God bless him 🙏🙏

I was in a hotel in Paris on the day that he died. It was announced on the television and I went into the bathroom and cried so my wife would not see. Something indescribably beautiful departed from the world that day.

Yes! That timbre - noone can match that rich voluminous sound. Some may sing higher, others faster, but none have as magnificent an instrument as he.

Never spent any time listening to classical music until I came across a Christmas album of his when I was young. I was so moved by that album. It was our good fortune to be on this planet with him.

I saw him perform as one of the 3Tenors, in a New Years Eve concert, at BC Place Stadium, in 1996 Vancouver, Canada. Together they were great. Pavarotti was awesome. A great memory.

Reason why I think Luciano is one of the greatest greats
He was still able to perform concerts while struggling through his cancer battle
That was really brave of him

Just the pure, unbridled power of the mans voice. Other's can hit the notes but few with such might and strength behind the voice.
