The EAM ( National Liberation Front/Εθνικό Απελευθερωτικό Μέτωπο), was a Greek communist resistance movement founded in 1941 to resist the Axis occupation of Greece. Throughout EAM's existence, they worked with neighboring Albanian and Yugoslav partisans to hurt the Axis war effort by sabotaging bridges, railway lines, and factories, raided ports and airfields, freed prisoners from death camps and generally fought the fascists in any way possible for Greek national liberation.

EAM was indeed founded by communists but it was not strickly communistic. EAM belongs to all Greeks except the traitors who cooperated with the nazis. EAM had nationalists too. Kaslas was a Venizelos supporter and Sarafis had his own nationalistic partizan organization that fought the nazis. Long live EAM !!!
