Hello My Lovely people!

Today's video walking is in a Spanish municipality in the province of Gerona located in the Ripollés region, Catalonia. It is located north of Ripoll and at the confluence of the Freser, Rigard and Segadell rivers.

Ribes is one of the Catalan towns with the longest tourist tradition. Since the beginning of the 20th century, people have visited the town attracted by the climate, the proximity of forests and mountains with large ski resorts and, above all, the abundance of natural water.

The municipality also has a long tradition in snow sports. It was the first municipality in Catalonia (and in the Spanish State) where skiing and ice skating were practiced in 1908. It offers mountain sports, hiking, gastronomic culture and a good place to rest.

Romanesque architecture is very present. On the one hand, as regards military buildings, there are the castles of Ribes and Segura; and of religious scope, the churches of Santa Maria de Ribes and Sant Feliu de Bruguera.
