It's also important to note that the word Christ comes from the Greek word χριστός (chrīstós), meaning "anointed one". So, Christ is a title and not a name for Jesus

I was raised on the mormon church. Having to unlearn every falsehood I was taught is heartbreaking.

Ex-Mormon here... @5:39 you are talking about the "church of Christ" you could also mention that the peoples of the Book of Mormon had left the Bible lands long before the Greeks stepped into the picture. These records would not have the Greek/Latin name of the Messiah being Christ.

Joseph Smith used a vast library of books, maps, historical research, and Bible scholarship to make sure he had parallelism, chiasmus, accurate Hebrew, Egyptian, Akkadian names, consistent timelines, and geographic preciseness.
Yet...Joseph Smith somehow forgot that Jesus Christ was born in Bethlehem, the most well-known Christian city next to Jerusalem itself, a city that even children know about from Christmas every year.
Give me a break.

@andrew sluder sincere question say Christ comes and says the Book of Mormon is the word of his prophets and himself. What if your wrong?

MORMONS HAVE LOST FOLLOWERS IN A STAGING NUMBERS, BECAUSE THE TRUE HOLLY SPIRIT WHICH IS THE SPIRIT OF "JESUS", HAS REACH OUT YO THEM AND BROUGHT THEM OUT OF DARKNESS INTO HIS LIGHT

Remember, The Book of Mormon was a translation. The name The Church of Christ, would have been whatever word they used which would have the meaning of "the Anointed One." Basically, they would be called the Anointed or The Church of the Anointed One. They are then changed to Christians or the Chuch of the Christ, so we, the new audience, would know what they were talking about. That's how translations work.

In 3 Nephi 8:3 in The Book of Mormon, it clearly states the three days of darkness being "over the face of the land" NOT the "whole earth." It was talking about the lands of The Book of Mormon in the New World, not the whole planet. The three days of darkness description matches what people experienced in America during the New Madrid Earthquake from 1811-1812, which is in a perfect location for if the lands of the Book of Mormon occurred in the United States specifically in the area of the Hopewell Indians, whose culture, history, and timeline matches the Book of Mormon.

I decided I will add one more example:

Attacking the name "Mosiah" as made up from Moses and Isaiah is something else. If Mosiah is a made up name, then so is Moshiah.

My AI says this:
"Moshiah" (מֹשִׁ֫יעַ) is a Hebrew word that translates to "savior" or "deliverer." It's a title often associated with someone who brings salvation or delivers people from peril. In a religious context, it carries profound significance, especially in Judaism and Christianity, where it refers to figures who save or liberate.

Apparently, Mosiah is a shortened form of Moshiah.

AT Jerusalem! What!!! He didn’t give them the name of the town six miles away that they’d never heard of! I can’t believe it!

Thanks brother I’ve been witnessing to Mormon Missionaries and I do want them to see how the book of Mormon contradicts the word of God.

Reformed Egyptian is the same thing as Proto-Siniatic. Go look it up. It is absolutely a real thing that would have existed at the time the Brass Plates were written and what was transcribed onto the Gold plates alongside further writings at 600 BC and forward.
Saying Reformed Egyptian isn't real is painfully naive. What do you think the Phoenecian alphabet was?

The Hebrew Bible doesn't agree with the GREEK "New testament" it's like calling the kettle black.

Why should it be a big deal at all that in Jerusalem there was three hours of darkness but in the new world the darkness lasted three days until Jesus Christ had been resurrected?

I'm from Waynesville NC near Asheville NC and I have left the Mormon church. Good people but false religion. Please pray for our Mormon friends to come out of that religion and to the true Jesus of the bible.

Bethlehem was 5 minutes outside of Jerusalem. It is absolutely appropriate to say he was born "at Jerusalem". I live near Kansas City. When I tell strangers where I live I don't give them the name of the specific town, I just tell them Kansas City.

So what if there was darkness for three days in the americas but for just 3 hours in the land of Jerusalem when Jesus died? The Book of Mormon describes there being a vapour of darkness across the land in 3 Nephi 8:20 that prevented even candles and fires being lit and visible. So far as Helaman prophesying that darkness would cover the whole earth for 3 days it was written from his viewpoint. He wasn’t talking about planet Earth.

In The Book of Mormon, whenever they refer to the Old World, they always refer to it as Jerusalem or the Land of Jerusalem. So, in Alma, he would be using terminology the people he was speaking to would understand. Therefore, saying Christ would be born at Jerusalem, i.e. the Old World, was all that would be needed for the people of the Nephites. There would be no reason to specify Bethlehem because the people it was being given to would have no need for such specificity. They wouldn't know all the names of the cities and towns of the Old World and their locations compared to one another. God and the prophets considered the audience the revelation is for according to THEIR understanding, not ours.
