I don't really know if there's a better place for me to post this, but I was very much enjoying this modpack. I ended up killing the ender dragon, the wither, the golem in the forge in the nether, and lastly Ignis.

I was just about to finally take on chapter 5, heading home from the Nether after spending 14 hours trying to find Ignis. With him finally defeated in a fun, unique boss battle, I upgraded my gear, and felt victorious and satisfied, ready to take the last steps in my adventure.

Then... while I was walking back to my nether portal, my worn equipment just disappeared. My offhand slot and armour had been entirely deleted, leaving only my backpack and baubles on, and inventory intact. I'm... not sure what happened. The only thing really of note that I can think to mention is that I ended up looking at Herobrine when I was in the Nether, but I refuse to believe that it would be intentional game design to just delete all of your hard earned equipment just for looking at him in the fog. It must have been a bug of some sort. Or at least, I hope it was.

Either way, with my equipment just outright deleted, and about 10 minutes of just searching around praying that it had just been dropped somewhere nearby, I ended up just dying to some random mobs. Thus, ending my adventure, too discouraged to continue. I wouldn't want to continue this knowing weeks of effort could just suddenly be deleted in an instant without actually knowing why, nor being in any danger.

Up until that point, it was an extremely fun modpack, and it's very challenging and unique, which is a breath of fresh air compared to so many modpacks feeling so similar to one another.

Tldr; Great modpack, but there's a bug (or terrible game design choice) where all of your equipment you've spent weeks grinding for can just be instantly deleted. Be warned.

I see some youtubers shitting on this game and I'm watching them thinking: 1. Didn't make a shelter like the tutorial book says, 2. Turned the music down (which is what atmosphere is made of), 3. Are bad at minecraft so they want to find things to hate about it, 4. Got their sanity low by swimming and killing a bunch of animals before "nightfall" on the 1st day... I think the modpack is absolutely the scariest I've played and after testing it out I'm going to be playing with some friends later on.
