Zakk Sabbath to release Vertigo February 13, 2020 on Magnetic Eye Records.

Vertigo Records issued the debut album by Black Sabbath, on Friday the 13th of 1970, and the world was never the same. Legendarily recorded in a single day in October 1969, the earthmoving self-titled set closed the book on hippie optimism with its dark magic and ushered in a brand new genre, setting the metal template for decades to come.

Exactly 50 years to the date later, ZAKK SABBATH will celebrate the first chapter in the Sabbath catalog with a reverently rendered tribute, simply titled VERTIGO. Our aim is to faithfully rerecord the album in the spirit of the original recordings: live in a fully analog studio, direct to two inch tape, in a single 24 hour period. A film crew will document the process, culminating in a single album and DVD release limited to just 500 copies and delivered to purchasers on February 13, 2020.

Zakk Sabbath’s Vertigo will never be available commercially or digitally in any other format beyond these initial 500, which will be delivered in a single package containing a vinyl LP, CD, digital download code, and DVD. We’ve partnered with Magnetic Eye Records, a cornerstone of the industry strongly rooted in the very sub-genre spawned by Sabbath, to ensure maximum quality. me get this straight. You only released 500 copies of what might be one of the most historical remakes in metal history (all of which have sold out via pre-order). What about fans like myself who are serving overseas right now and don't always have access to reliable internet to seize the opportunity to pre-order? I'm sorry, but I just can't get over that and I have to ask: What was the point of that? If it was to frustrate and infuriate your die hard fans, mission accomplished. I have a hard copy of every BLS, Pride&Glory, and Ozzy album ever released. Now if I want Vertigo I'm going to have to wait until a copy hits eBay listed for GOD KNOWS how much more than the original price. I would love to know how many people bought that album for the sole purpose of selling it and making a profit. Those people deserve a golf clap for that one, because they WILL make a quick buck off of fans like me who really want a physical copy of this album. So, to Magnetic Eye and Zakk Sabbath I say this: You seriously kicked your fans in the balls with this one.

They make an album and a DVD for 500 fan, and what about the other 10 million people.. So the only chance to hear this, is praying for 1 of the 500 is uploading to piratebay.

This is bullshit! 500 copies? So a couple people lucky enough to be on the internet at the right moment get a copy... And a few rich people who can afford it on eBay... But if your a hardcore metal maniac that goes to all the shows, who delivers pizzas or works at a gas station, spends all your money on music gear, concert tickets, and T-shirts a big fuck you to you!
