Proximity Sensor Issues In All Xiaomi Phone! [How To Fix]

The phone screen is not going dark while you are on a call and put the Xiaomi phone to your ear? It happens due to Problems with the Proximity sensor of the phone. What this guy doesnt seem to realise is that a large number of Xiaomi phones *do not have* proximity sensors any more. Xiaomi uses buggy virtual sensors instead. This is why the option to turn it off is not there in phone settings. The only work around i have found is to go to accessibility settings- physical buttons- then enable power button to end call. This at least means you can hang up after calling someone (and avoid leaving a lengthy answerphone messge with your angry voice shouting at your stupid phone)

in xiaomi 11t. the problem is not the sensor. it is the location of the sensor. wrong design from engineering. it is located right next to the top speaker. so for it to work, you have to put your phone against your ear in such an angle to successfully block the sensor. 😊

None of the Xiaomi phones work right in the family. 8T, 9, 9 Pro, all had serious bugs. Non-existent or severely delayed notifications, screen turning on and off during calls despite passing the proximity sensor test with flying colors, phone restarting randomly during a call, overheating camera in the summer, mandatory Xiaomi account to unlock the bootloader and it takes at least a week, MIUI filled with bloatware that can't be removed.
Never again Xiaomi, just spend more for a good phone, trust me.

I wasted half a day testing the proximity sensor on my Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Pro+. It seemed non-existing or faulty in all testing apps I downloaded. Covering the top of the phone had no effect at all BUT... if you hold the phone sideways pretending that you are answering a call and cover the proximity sensor It just works. So the proximity sensor does not work when the phone is flat on a table or in your hands.

For MI 10 lite M2007J17G It is some conflict in notification and control center style, There are two stayle OLD where you pull down from top to botom -open and notificatication and quick settings and NEW style where left side will open notifications and pulling down will bring settings down, You shoud use old style.Before I figure this out i was trying everithing from hardware and software test and calibration.Test proximity was always 5 even if making the call and cover or put to ear just didnt work and with Old style control center is working precise.🍻

there is no proximity sensor in the redmi note 10 pro however the screen turns off during calls or in whatsapp using some unknown hardware tricks which don't work fine in some instances: solution: none

Guys while this video has partial value, in most cases cheapy proximity sensor used by Xiaomi is faulty and you will need to get motherboard with sensor to be replaced. Saving save money by buying cheap and nasty Chinese phones is a risk and you just need to accept that your greed may have some unexpected outcomes. You can use engineering calibration apps, full screen dialers etc however you can save your time by buying proper phones from say Samsung or other vendor who value their customers.
