Yes, the "measuring stick" that is typically used was a bit broken, between "The East is weak" and "The playoffs were a cakewalk". The mistake that many are making is concluding that the Celtics must have also been weak, instead of realizing the Celtics turned the measuring stick into sawdust.

The only team the celtics had a losing record to is the nuggets. They literally beat down every team, and that wouldn't have changed.

Apparently not that easy, since the West's best was Dallas who destroyed the great Minnestoa with Ant Man, who were labeled unstoppable with the new Jordan after surprising the favorite and defending champion Denver - even annihilating them one game. The Celtics took these Mavs out in 5 games.

He should hold his own legacy to the same standard. 2000 run was against kings, suns blazers and indy. Look up those rosters. Blazers probably had the best roster.
The rest were not a challenge.

If Clippers/ Suns did their job and the matchup was the 3/4 Paul/Kevin Vs Jayson would you all say the same?! Its matchup so stop Luka was not JT matchup! JT job was to stop PJ from killing them the way he killed the clippers! They both did their jobs! I like having them both and the best SF is Jayson don't get it twisted which other SF does all he can do to lead a team?! JT had the F matchups in 2022 and did not have much help especially not how this year they had more help at the guard where most of the marque matchup's were! We have seen JT go toe to toe with LeBron KD PG even Giannis! There is not another Forward I would take over TATUM to build around if I were to start a team today! Shaq say EASY when he had MAVs in 5/6 it sounds ridiculous especially when you take in to count Celtics only healthy Big of their 4 bigs were Al Horford who y'all say too old!
