Text transcript within the description area would work - for deaf+blind people with braille output devices too. Otherwise it looks like you're not including the people you most need to reach.

This is much more plausible than the _Seeing with you tongue_ -device

Teach your tongue to hear.

Colorado State University College of Engineering researchers are developing a new device that people with substantial hearing loss can use as an alternative to cochlear devices.

This video should be captioned. It is, in part, about hearing loss. Seriously guys? You're a university and have the resources. Just do it.

I am learning Braille.  I would argue that your fingers actually do learn to see in a sense.  It's difficult to learn (I am not blind but am having issues with my eyes vibrating, which makes reading difficult and sometimes impossible, hence learning Braille).  But as I learn and practice there have been times when I suddenly "see" the Braille letter that I'm touching (ironically I can read it with my eyes right now better than my fingers lol) even though my eyes are closed.  It doesn't look the same as the page does, but it is a clear image of the dots (and it catches me quite off-guard when it happens!).

My first thought is that I could never try a CI (I am hearing) but I could actually try this. I know CI doesn't let you "hear" the same way as my ears, but this video claims it would be more like really hearing. I'd have to try it to believe it.

Why are you developing this when we have plausible, cheap technology which vibrates bones to transmit sound to our brains?  Seriously, are you trying to make deaf people lives more difficult by interfering with their tongues' natural and necessary uses?  Who got stoned and thought this would be a good idea?
