Yeah, but I don't have a GPS or a smartphone. Nor do I want one. :)
I'm a firm believer that we'll experience complete chaos in our lifetime, so basic items and tools will be of great help if we can use and guard them. :(

nice item to have in your bag, but it these times is more like an extint tool since all mobile phones has a gps or google maps. at my lodge internet 3g has 10bm/s- better than the city, 4 years ago you need to find higher spots for mobile signal, this is kinda bad, i mean i go to the mountains to escape and to have fresh air and radiations are in my head like in the city.
- its nice to practice with our kids, hiking using the map and compas.
