The Detroit Red Wings are introduced before Friday night's Stadium Series Alumni Game against the Colorado Avalanche -- and there was hardly any love for Darren McCarty at Coors Field.

Wings fans. Just got back from the game. What an incredible night for outdoor hockey with the backdrop of the Rockies behind the stadium. It was just so surreal hearing these names and seeing all these guys again. A lot of people were even moved to tears and your Wings got a standing ovation during a break in the game from the 44, 000 people. Thanks to the Red Wings for helping make a spectacular and unforgettable night here in Denver. -Av's fan

LOVE IT. There won't be that kind of hockey again. I despised Colorado, was glad to hear them booing us like that, they were damn good like us back then and I think all hockey fans respect their rival. Each team was stacked with top talent, as evidenced by their total Cup haul. Getting past them in '97 and '02 are my best fan memories.

Hard to believe Mike Knuble's first ever NHL game was March 26, 1997 aka the night Darren McCarty beat the shit out of Lemieux and Darren proceeded to score the OT winner lololol

Steve Yzerman if you are reading this, you are probably not because you are busy being a GM for the lignting and everything, Stevie Y deserves the biggest thank you, for not only captaining our team for all these years, but for participating in BOTH alumni games! it means alot taking out of your busy schedule! stuck up but still skilled fedorov is over in russia, sure we are grateful he participated against the leafs, but we all wish he had time to make this game!
