today im just gonna tell you the truth. why i quit roblox. its a long story so please enjoy it :D

Completely agree with everything you said. I play Roblox with my kids and have since 2016. We have so many good memories playing together. That’s probably the only reason I still play. I seen Roblox change and it makes me so sad.

i can totally see your point. As a player since 2013 i have also expirienced roblox before they became greedy and focused into maximizing profits. Even though i do still play roblox, for the past couple of years roblox has lost its classic image and now prioritizes investors satisfaction over community satisfaction. I personally rarely expirience hackers but im not a streamer so i cant really jugde this. Anyway i hope you come back to roblox someday.

as a roblox developer, i HATE the developers who are in it for the money, not the community. You will never catch me adding game passes, or anything of that sort. All games are play to win, all private servers are free, and everything is accessible for free.

A lot of the stuff covered in this video has been on my mind recently. I joined ROBLOX in 2017, and even though classic players wouldn’t really consider that “old Roblox, ” it still felt much different than it feels now. The main thing that I’ve been thinking of is how Roblox’s community and landscape has been restructured. Back then, Roblox’s gimmick was that anyone could make a game. That’s how it was advertised. Now, I feel like there’s a very distinct line between developers and players, where ordinary people don’t even try to create their own games, and everything is left up to rich people with big teams trying to make the most money possible. Six years ago, a lot of the games I played were far from perfect, maybe some gears didn’t work or the maps looked bare, but they were still way more fun than modern titles like Sol’s RNG or Pet Simulator 99. Even if those older games were scuffed, they were built out of passion and had creativity, rather than being made only for money. Because of the expectations for games now, it’s hard to come across something with a simple concept like sliding in a box down a ramp, or doing parkour to escape an iPhone. It’s cool that developers now have way more options when it comes to making games, but I feel like that leads to games lacking the “Roblox style, ” that makes Roblox feel like a game, and not a platform to make games. If you showed someone who’s never played Roblox the map from Pls Donate and the map from Blox Fruits, they probably wouldn’t be able to tell that they’re the same “game.” Not to mention the introduction of Rthro and public UGC, making each avatar vastly different as well. Before, all Roblox games had the same distinct plastic-y LEGO look with duller colors, that made it different from other platforms, but also allowed all Roblox experiences to blend together and feel like one big community, rather than dozens of smaller communities like today’s Roblox.

Sorry I yapped so much here, I just needed somewhere to talk about what’s on my mind. Maybe I’m wrong, or maybe I’m just blinded by nostalgia, but regardless, thanks for taking your time to read this.

TL;DR, I think Roblox has lost the charm it once had, and is now run mostly by large developer teams who are just trying to make money.

It's no longer possible to play it with a smile, just because of the constant fear that some toxic emo will join or some other mentally disturbed person, the game is so broken in every way that even the name Roblox is too precious to keep it that way, name it, because it's not the game I remember as the previously mentioned Roblox
and hackers are currently the least of our problems that's all.

I'ts fine i agree with you. When i started my first account in 2019, everything was new and i was enjoying it. But now since Roblox changed, I sometimes feel like quitting Roblox because it dosen't feel the same as it used to.

I agree I always feel like I am not having as much fun on roblox as I used to with all these random updates removed the things we like like the oof sound selling our information raising the prices of stuff pay to win games its all so annoying and takes away the fun of the game so I support your decision

Most of the new games nowadays don't age well. Like Dusty Trip was a good game but it turned into a casino. Blade Ball was ok, but turned to Las Vegas. Its so sad how developers wanted to make game by passion but then after they make their game more p2w.

This whole video is ON POINT. Roblox has made so many bad decisions. It was fun so many years ago when 8 year old bored me could just play and have fun, Now all they care about is money.

As somebody who’s been playing Roblox for the past 7 years I agree that this platform has been going steadily downhill since 2019. 90 percent of the games here nowadays are just corporate, predatory slop catered towards the lowest common denominator (children), and they use them to exploit their lack of understanding of money to get them to pay for useless game passes they don’t need.

Back when I played, the community would be much more intolerant towards games that used pay to win mechanics but today, since it’s the norm, nobody really cares and it’s almost expected for games to be pay to win.

Totally agree. I don't even look at charts anymore. If I want to find new games i check "better discovery" game where players suggest the games.Regarding R15 i think it's not necessary for classic avatars. I sometimes animate on roblox and R6 is easier and better for making more natural poses with classic avatars

I’ve been following his content for a long time and to be 100% honest, I barely noticed that he doesn’t do Roblox content anymore. I only play Roblox because my friends play it now and it’s genuinely sad that the site went in the direction it went in. (Been playing since 2016 btw)
