This brings back memories of a great weekend at Durham.

My word! These are superb! I am stuck for words to describe this beautiful setting: really English with some amazing harmonies. The only thing I feel I can liken it to is a really fine red wine: often your talk of hints of blackcurrant or other flavours. This setting feels like it grew out of the tradition of the Smith setting but was free to bring all the traditions of English cathedral music too like Bairstow and Howells. It feels like the distilling of the past to produce a fresh and beautiful composition. Just amazing!
