People, Justin Chambers didn’t want to finish the season. They did they best they could to give him a happy ending with NEITHER of the two actors available to play Izzie and Alex. It was this or kill him off.

The way he “talks” is the most mature we’ve seen. His character is so cocky but once he wrote the letter it’s like he matured 20 years. I’m happy he’s grown up

Never forget that Izzie Stevens on S5 Ep23 told tumor Denny that she and Alex will gonna have beautiful kids. Darn! She could’ve been more right. I never thought this will happen in S16. They have the best looking kids in GA world.

i love mer’s reaction when she read that izzie had their kids... i mean alex was her best friend and person but izzie was also her first roommate and part of her family. mer had seen their relationship from the beginning, izzex came full circle and that’s the most beautiful ending 🥺

I get how leaving meredith and jo, and everyone was shitty but I like this ending for alex. He finds out he has a family with izzie, he wouldn't just leave those kids fatherless. He met those kids, he loves the kids. I loved his relationship with izzie. Izzie had personality, their relationship had personality. With Jo it just felt like trauma through trauma. There was so much damage with the two of them that they just stayed damage with eachother. He made himself better when he was with izzie. .

I’ll probably get a lot of hate for this but Alex wasn’t even his own character anymore. He was just a crutch for Jo pain and whatever messiness Meredith was creating. I’m happy that he did something for himself.

izzy has always been my fav. the way she pereservered even tho being a doctor wasn’t naturally in her cards. i really respect the fact that she gave up her daughter at only 16 knowing her daughter would have a better life that way, and then she did what she had to to get thru med school she deserves alex, and those kids

I love this ending for Alex, I really thought at one point Shonda would kill him but this is so beautiful. He’s gonna be a fantastic father and he has always love Lizzie sm. this is Alex’s happy ending. I LOVE IT

*Regardless if you love or hate Izzie:* These scenes answered our (the audience's) questions on whats happened to her since we last seen her pack her bags and moved out of Seattle 10 years ago. She settled down to work in a Kansas hospital, eventually becoming a cancer surgeon. She got a very nice country home. She became a mother of twins. And she is a living a stable life. The series gave her (and Alex) a happy ending.
