Christy Doran’s 144 STRINGS FOR A BROKEN CHORD

144 strings for a broken chord shows never-before heard guitar sounds and is an exceptional stereo listening experience thanks to the special lineup of musicians. The visual experience – a long series with highly concentrated and highly motivated guitarists and musicians, all with their individual equipment and unique sound, is supported with an exciting lighting concept and is a happening in a class of its own. The music is challenging and complex, but also has a binding, rock style and is sometimes lyrical.

The electric guitar with the many possibilities of amplification and the electronic devices are the focus in this project focus; the potential is limitless. The compositions with Christy Doran's trademark display a remarkable arsenal of musical possibilities and combinations. New sounds and new styles (is it jazz, contemporary music, noise music, improvised music, rock or ethno?) open up new worlds for listeners as well as create a musical and visual experience of the superlative.

The special “soundscapes” with visual and acoustic fireworks will inspire a wide audience.
