Holiday Inn Southampton Pre-Cruise Stay

Here’s my tour and review of the Holiday Inn Southampton on our overnight stay prior to embarking P&O Iona and a 1 week Northern Europe cruise! We have a standard double room on the top floor with views of the Solent and Ocean Cruise Terminal. We’ll Show you the room and its facilities, room service, the hotel bar and restaurant where we bump into Paul & Carole (love to travel), the hotel’s location to the 5 cruise terminals, parking arrangements and find out about accessibility. We also stayed on floor 9 and had amazing views. Sad to see there were no water and chocolates in the room this time. They were complimentary last time. We have booked the parking package for our next cruise. Hope you're having a lovely time on Iona x

We’ve stayed here once and loved it. We had a top floor deluxe room and 2 weeks parking. It all worked really well. Would certainly recommend.

OMG Jamie, you're killing us. We love watching these, but we're not due to go until May.
We usually stay the night before in the Premier Inn across the road. But it was too expensive this time. You got a good price for this one.

Recently traveled from London on cruise day, not too bad. This looks very nice. How hard would it be to put a safe in each room? People bring documents, money and other valuables to a cruise. Town did seem pretty safe.

I've stayed at this hotel many times and have always enjoyed it. My only complaint is that the health club/swimming pool didn't reopen after the pandemic & is (I hear) due for demolition, if it hasn't already gone.

Why is the Horizon cruise terminal not accessible by foot through gate 8?

We stayed there twice pre cruise last year in standard rooms and find it annoying there is no safe in the room, apart from that its in a great position for cruising.
