Jeremy Irons plays professor G.H. Hardy in the new film “The Man Who Knew Infinity,” the fact-based story of a self-taught mathematician from India who earns admittance to Cambridge during World War I. Irons looks at highlights of his own career (“It’s horrible!” he exclaims) and agrees with Brooke Shields that films about geniuses are fascinating.

I didn't know the reason for Ramanujan's lack of math proofs, that problem might have easily been that he had very little writing paper while he was working in India, so that not having proofs likely became a habit; that revelation was in the movie. Which for me was profound as it opened a window to the past and other great thinkers there and what effort it must have taken to become the giants that they were, are. I imagine that the same might be said for the great thinkers of our time that are likely toiling away in obscurity, scrabbling about for their working materials... The other surprising bit in the movie was that Ramanujan apparently assumed that everyone was as quick and as smart as he was. He consistently got his fingers pinched because of that.

If ramanujan lived two more decades, he could definitely solve the theory of everything.
And also still the scientists could not understand there equations he made.

If someone ever directs a biopic of Jordan Peterson, Jeremy should be the hero. He looks exactly like Jordan Peterson

jeremy, i think i have seen the movie dead ringers maybe 30 years ago, he still looks much the same, so i couldnt recognize the man at first. for brooke, her voice sounds all different, and maybe she is getting too much sun tan.
