We needed that one! I'm always ambivalent about these games - I grew up in OC in the 70s and was both an Angels and a Dodgers fan. My first in person game was watching Micky Rivers sometime around 1975 - but that was when the Dodgers had that great infield and my family were L.A. fans. But I still root for both.

I believe it is possible that there something with Mike Trout's visual acuity. At 11 yrs. a decline would be likely. He had above normal vision....even if that is slightly down it could have a big effect. He is too great for this to just be a slump. You know the effort is there. Maybe it is something else.

Never thought kershaw would be the one leading our rotation at this point in his career. May, Buehler, urias all out. Thank you kersh for staying and eating up all these innings this year when the young guys should be doing it for you.

Angels should have pinch hit for Padlo in the bottom of the 7th when it was 2nd and 3rd with no outs.

Moniak or Stefanic were available on the bench. They could put pressure on the Dodgers defense with a potential squeeze bunt play late in a tie game.
Even if the bunt failed and they get the runner at home you'd still have 1st and 3rd with just 1 out.
Instead Padlo swings at the first pitch and grounds out sharply and no runners advance. You just have to push across a run in that situation.
