Shiva - The destroyer

An animated intro of Shiva, one of the most powerful Hindu deity and one of the three Supreme gods in the Hindu religion known as the 'Destroyer' or the 'Transformer'. He is known to have a third eye powerful enough to bring an end to the world if it ever opens out of rage.

This video was made purely out of my love of Hindu mythology and all stories I grew up listening. And also as an exercise for character animation. It was all good before the Shiva bhaktas took over the comments section and started being overly defensive about this 'form' of Shiva which isn't even out of context from how he's portrayed sometimes. One of the frequent stories I heard while growing up was about Shivaji's third eye opening and how it brings total annihilation if that ever happens. THIS IS WHAT THIS SHORT ANIMATION IS BASED ON. And is in no way meant to disrespect him. Period.
