Salvadoreña here 👋🏽:
some tips i would recommend are
1. making the masa wetter, dry masa will result in a dry pupusa and can cause crack
2. if you can, slap the pupusa back and forth in your hands instead of squishing it down
3. use oil on your hands to flatten it and once the it starts sticking to you hands, wash them from extra masa
4. fill them with like chicharon (pork) or beans as well, it’ll taste so much better

Ignore negative comments, there is no perfect way to make Salvadoreans pupusas unless one is an expert on it but most of us are not, so keep up the good work, don't stop making them.

U don’t add any salt in the pupusas but if u like salt u can put it
