40 years old here and 95 is right when I was getting out of youth sizing and obtaining a pair of shoes in this price range became absolutely laughable to my will forever have a place in my heart.

These shoes, for me, will always be associated with Kobe Bryant… here’s why, back in March of ‘95. Bean was beginning his District & State Championship run in these thru SE Pennsylvania (he wore adidas during his junior year run). I had the privilege to see him play during that run (the only time I’ve seen him play live/in-person btw) & I was geeked as a HS freshman thinking he would eventually sign with the swoosh. He walked & played as if he was truly a pro. He was amazing & made this shoe look that much more special. Sure, a ton of NCAA players was wearing these, but I can’t get a vision of him out of my head at the Palestra hooping in these. I already own the most recent retro of these (2014) & wear them a ton and get a lot of OG love. Can’t wait to cop these as well. Continue to rest easy Bean and good luck to all who are shooting for these classics.

When these came out in '96, I bought 2 pairs. Loved them. Gave away one, and I still have the other pair to this day, unworn. The midsoles are surprisingly still intact

These dropped when I was in high school and I’m definitely copping these because I couldn’t afford them back then and I always wanted a pair. Salute for the video and love the nostalgia your videos bring kinda like the song “Summertime” from the Fresh Prince 🫡

The nostalgia that these bring back and I got my order in I was not missing out on these at all…I just may have to try and get a second pair…it was like pulling teeth from my parents in the 90s I was in 9th grade so 125 was a lot or the max cost of these shoes and I was lucky enough to get them in 95 and now finally again
