I only randomly encounter Jennifer Tarle's videos because I teach mainly British English pronunciation (standard, modern RP) but I am always impressed with how clearly and concisely she covers each topic, without pandering to trends. On this topic (to, too, two) I agree completely: all three words are _exact_ homophones, when given their full value. And as described by Jennifer Tarle, de-stressing within normal speech utterances will result in the preposition (to) being reduced to schwa.

Your videos are great for beginners as these words are generally thought to be pronounced differently, but there isn't a difference at all.

I just loved it! I thought they had some small differences on the way they are pronounced, I'm glad it's all the same :)

When I was learning english, I had a hard time trying to pronounce correctly the words tree and three. I never knew or learnt that to, two and too are pronounced the same way but I always managed to say them well. Anyway, your explanations are always really helpful. We never stop learning. Saludos.

She missed one, and this one is pronounced more than the others:- it is TU as in 'Tuh' ''I'm going TUH have to buy a new car.'' ''We're gonna go TUH Disneyland.'' ''I want TUH win the lottery.''

But why `two` pronunced more like `tyoo` instead of `t-hoo` ? What's the difference between /tu:/ and /tju:/? Is `tyoo` american accent, or english commons?

But Tarle, you're pronunciation of "to", "too" and "two" is inconsistent in your video. The problem is you start out by pronouncing "to" and "too" (0:14-0:17)as "tew" (teeoo) with an ee immediately after the t, then an "oo" after the "ee" sound."). However, you pronounce the number, "two" (0:18) with a simple "t" and just a little "ee sound between the "t" and "oo". However, to confuse the pronunciation, at the end (0:54), you're pronouncing "to", "too" and "two" simply as "t-oo"" with no "ee" sound immediately after the t, just a "t" & "oo" sound: "too".
