Anyone else miss the days of column shifters? Used to have a pickup with a PRNDL column shifter. Now I drive a manual hatchback. I prefer manual but I do sometimes miss driving a truck with the column shifter.

This reminds me of the old Chrysler push-button transmission controls in the 50s and 60s but actually they were more intuitive.

It is only so that you cannot accidentally hit any of the buttons that cause your car to move, they only made the modes that will put your car into gear and move it pulling switches so that an object cannot strike them accidentally

I’ve never seen it up there but our family terrain has the same style shifter u get used to it it’s actually pretty nice and Doug of ur way
