Hearing keem on this interlude is like watching your favourite character unlock their hidden potential.

This is one of the best interludes I’ve ever heard

The voice in the beginning is Eckhart Tolle, I recommend him to anyone who has a running commentary in their mind or who overthinks, he's on youtube, but his book the Power of Now is also a great read after reading that book and watching his videos I was able to stop thinking at will, if anyone has anxiety like me it will help give you more control over it.

Accidentally listened to this first and it's even better in context.

This album is untouchable.

Listening to this album makes me revisit what The Heart Part 5 visuals really represented. The violence (OJ), the grandiose grieving (Ye), the victim hood (Jussie), the lashing out/self destruction from pain (Will), the sacrificial redemption (Kobe), and the sacrificial salvation (Nip)... this album is a movie.

The interludes are not worse than the 'normal' tracks in any way. This one in particular conveys so much emotion and I love it.

Baby Keems part in this album feels crucial, it's so natural and just sounds fucking good. Love the love in this album

Bro just killed this interlude. Indeed they can’t outrap y’all. This ones stuck in my head, the rhyme scheme, the deliver, the mellow but daunting instrumental…just fucking beautiful

Thank god kendricks level headed. I’m tired of losing rappers to drugs and violence. Thank you Kendrick for being you. Always helping us through dark times. Such a beautiful soul. Plus he brought us keem.

For anyone dealing with depression, the intro is a man who created a book called a new earth. He is eckhart tolle a master in remaining detached.

Kendrick Lamar sampling Eckhart Tolle - the author of "The Power of Now" just blew my mind. Genius!

Kendrick once again dropping an album to shake up the very fabric of the world

The reason the song is great is that Keem's verse alludes to the intro of deriving your identity from the bad things that happen to you. He speaks of constant bad circumstances that people subconsciously attach themselves to in order to feel important. There's a negative result in doing this which is self-victimizing yourself and carrying it as fuel to "save" and be a voice for everyone. Emotionally processing a bad situation is healthier. My guess is this why Kendrick says in the next song that he is not anyone's savior.

Most underrated song on this album by far

Lyrics
[Intro: Eckhart Tolle]
If you derive your sense of identity from being a victim
Let's say, bad things were done to you when you were a child
And you develop a sense of self that is based on the bad things that happened to you

[Verse: Baby Keem]
You ever seen your mama strung out while you studied division?
Your uncle ever stole from you, day after Christmas?
Seen both of those on the county jail's visits
The first and the fifteenth, the only religion
Noodles in the microwave, shark tank tidal wave
Grandma shootin' niggas, blood on the highway
Crossеs on the dashboard, you just want a platform
I wanna take evеrything that I ask for
Catch me a body, I'll put that on anybody but my mama
She showin' a pattern for certain
I think it's white panties and minimal condoms
My uncle would tell me the shit in the movies, could only be magic
This year, I did forty-three shows and took it all home to buy him a casket
Jack of all trades, got money out the way, put my heart in the faith, I'm good, love
Cousin in the courts, heard he jumped out the porch
Turn a brick to a Porsche, I'm good, love
Catch us, you know I'm gon' rack up
I need the advance and the equity to match up
The engineer dead if the drive don't back up
These words come of God, you could never outrap us
Nowadays gotta walk cautious, ayy
Nowadays, I'm a new prophet, ayy
Game dead, no autopsy, ayy
City girl with they new hobby, ayy
Catch a body, put the product in the ta-da
Nigga 'boutta get some pussy, give me five
Gun dirty, got the thirty in the purse, purse
Tight bitch, put a perky in her salad
I gotta pay for the basic
I never seen my niggas bust down faces
Some niggas not tasteless
I only had one chance, I ain't even waste it
Been down on my luck
Been down on my luck when I fa-a-all
I gotta get up
I gotta get back up and ba-a-all
RIP, under my people, I'm proud of my people, I'm proud of my dawgs
My ex got a beamer, she want me to see it
I still ain't gon' see it, like, okay
I love when they ratchet, I don't do her Patek
I still do the watches the old way
She think I'm conceited, I'm thinkin' 'bout cheatin'
I don't do the flowers or roleplay
Now, how can I fold lookin' at twenty million
This money don't come with a probay
Mama, I said it'd be okay

1.00
[Outro: Baby Keem]
I got this shit brackin' in four days
Four eyes, four eyes, two eyes
Switch sides, nigga be fresh, I'll
Suicide doors, I suicide, suicide
Lambo body, who gon' stop me?
Baby Keem is too, "Wow"
Function at the tempo
Jesus pieces in the luau
Mr. Morale
