‘Good news’: Andrew Bolt praises two Victorian Councillors for leaving the Greens

Sky News host Andrew Bolt has praised two Victorian Councillors for leaving the Greens Party.

Mr Bolt joined Liberal MP Garth Hamilton and Sky News contributor Evelyn Rae to discuss the councillors leaving the Greens.

“Two Greens Councillors in Victoria – at Monash Council, they’ve had a Hallelujah moment, the Road to Damascus, they’ve suddenly opened their eyes and discovered … the Greens are almost all Stalinist and they’ve quit the Greens Party,” Mr Bolt said.

“One said that some Greens members particularly older women, they’ve endured months on end of invective abuse and harassment, a politics of surveillance, of disinformation, and of fear and intimidation.

“The other said – the good that the Greens do … has been eclipsed by a rapidly growing list of failures, an alarming lack of self-awareness, a growing anti-intellectual tendency, and a myopic preoccupation with faux-progressive conformity.”

Good to see polling, showing Greens on the downward slide! Voted for them in the Tasmanian Greens, days, but not ever Federally, they just went Socialist, so vote for non now, due to association with Feds!

I was involved with the Greens in the late 80s, in particular, the Rainforest Action Group. There was a lot of energy put into getting laid. Sounds like nothing has changed.

Five Greens councilors have quit the party since the 2020 local elections for a variety of reasons.

Both de Silva and Fergeus now appear set to run as independent candidates instead, while it’s not yet clear whether the Greens will − or have − or bother to preselect new candidates for Banksia, University or Gardiners.
