It may not be a dying business but it certainly is a dying art

I agree with him. I loved Deadpool And wolverine but it has come to a point that Nostalgia is their ultimate weapon and there's no much into the plot but to repair a relationship with a stripper

First billion R film and people came out to the theater together to watch this film. He said it perfectly it’s a party time movie.

I don't remember him saying peep when X2 came out.

It's only “bad cinema” unless he’s in it.

Yes we need more esteemed films similar to what he has been in, like super troopers

He’s not wrong. I’m a huge comic book fan. But movies aren’t the same anymore, like production cuts and a lot A-list actors are doing more television than movies cause it’s more money.

Sounds like sour grapes. A billion dollar film in a dying theatre market is never a bad thing.

I'm glad more and more actors are becoming vocal about this.

This isn’t about film making, this is about money. It’s so silly seeing these Hollywood neckbeards in their echo chambers not realizing that we can have junk food like Deadpool and Wolverine AND fine dining simultaneously. They’re just upset they don’t make as much money

Is he blind to all of the independent films out and coming out?

Gotta love seeing more old white men knocking things that bring people joy. Then again the same things were said hundreds of years ago about an upstart playwright that appealed to the masses. Now who do we remember except Shakespeare.

um it’s Deadpool not the godfather. If u want to see something like that go see opinhehmer or wolf of wall street or something. Movies like the godfather still exist. I’m sick of theme boomers saying they don’t exist anymore.

See I din't even like Deadpool 3 all that much but there are still strong projects that have come and will continue to come from this genre, if he stops being a misinformed fool and watch stuff like Logan, Matt Revees Batman, Joker etc he will realise that these are anything but diluted, yeah majority are party time but some are deep meaningful works too

He's right. Coppola was right. Tarantino was right.
And oh boy, Scorsese was so right

I think he's right. Now I enjoyed D&W very much but as I was watching it I had the distinct feeling that this is it for me when it comes to superhero movies. This was the pinnacle, the culmination, the final hurrah. Where can they go from here? Nowhere I am particularly interested in. With all the universes, time travel, and reimagining - nothing is meaningful any more. Only the humor remains. It was fun while it lasted but it's finally collapsed under its own weight. It's now just a caricature of itself.

Why do these idiots act like the most popular movies are the only ones available?
