Maddy is from the United States of America and chose to come to Maastricht University for the master’s programme Globalisation and Development Studies. “After my bachelor’s International Development Studies at the University of California, Los Angeles, I was looking for a master’s programme abroad. As a curious person, always interested in learning new things, studying abroad is very exciting. This particular programme was what drew me to Maastricht in the first place, but Maastricht is also a great students’ city. When I chose this master’s programme, I was hoping I would be challenged and learn a lot, and so far both have come true. After my studies, I would like to continue building on what I learned at FASoS and work for international and non-governmental organisations and continue to live in many different countries.”
