ENGINE SWAP TIME!! VW Transporter T5 Dream Build.

After having watched the video back, we didn't really cover a lot of the actual engine swap. This engine is the 2.5 TDI that came out the silver LHD pre production VW Transporter T5. The blue shell we bought, had already had the engine removed. The engine going in has cover 2600 kilometres, so only 1600 miles! Its sat for over 20 years on the silver Caravelle, mostly at the back of an aircraft hanger, until we bought it.

It's amazing to see this build coming to together. I can't wait to show you the next stage, thats when it starts to get pretty.

Any guesses what the colour will be?

The next video will show this Dream build Transporter at Loughborough Paintworx, with Steve and his team working their magic. It's going to look, and drive mega!!

Details on the underslung A/C unit will be featured in the next video. It's such a cool bit of kit (no pun intended) Its going to be a game changer for keeping your campers chilled in the summer heat.

I was thinking that it was strange to be doing such a massive build on a late model car, then realised it's probably 20 years old!
Last time I worked on VW Transporters it was on brand new T4s.
