I ain’t calling it owlweaving. I’m only referring to it as boomboxing

Love hearing the feedback. I have been an hpal enjoyer. My concern is not whether this iteration or not is strong. I'm sick and tired of relearning how to play a spec every other patch. And I personally despise playing a melee healer and being forced to cast. What is the point of having a builder spender healing class in the game when the goal of that class to push hps has little to do with the building and spending. I just want to be in melee build and spend and heal man. Why do game devs always overcomplicate everything?

If they want me to cast as a paladin dont make me be at melee to generate holy power

I just hope that MW doesn’t get gutted by the time it goes live

Druid changes are like, barely starting to give the spec the changes it needs, but holding half of them back in dumb ways. Skull Bash should not have been added to Fluid Form, because plenty of us remember when that's just **how Skull Bash behaved before**. The clear and painfully obvious answer is to just kill the Fluid Form talent and bake all parts of the talent into the class. Fluid Form is just how Druid should always play: Push any spell, shift into the appropriate form for it.

The mastery change is great, makes up a bit for how bad most of the hots are, kind of way overdue honestly. The Stamina node was made much more accessible, which is great, but it should have just been the full 10% Stamina regardless of form, which Bear form would then increase a bit further. Forest's Flow still needs to cast Nourish on 2 allies.

For its cooldowns: Flourish **never** had any reason to be on the same node as Photosynthesis, and should honestly be a much more accessible ability, being either baseline or somewhere in the middle of the tree. Convoke the Spirits also belongs in the **CLASS tree** just like Divine Toll, because it basically IS Divine Toll for Druids (every spec has it, so clearly it belongs in the class tree). Then Resto can finally have Convoke, Flourish, Tree of Life, and Tranquility all at the same time, without giving up Photosynthesis. MOST healers have like 3-4 (or more) cooldowns, so it only makes sense and gets Druid back in line with the others.

regardless of what the tuning ends up being, Mistweaver feels increadibly FUN in raids and m+, top tier design

I’d love to see Flourish buffed back to its old glory.

It seemed to me that it was almost the perfect example of a well-designed cooldown: it rewarded you for doing your spec fantasy well (spreading HoTs) by, for a few seconds, cranking that spec fantasy up to eleven.

Their direction since Flourish got nerfed, such as putting lots of power into Regrowth and the totem-esque Grove Guardians feels a bit lost to me.

Im a mistweaver main every season even if its hard trash sometimes and although the changes to the spec are very good in general (like not having only 60% of your throughput in dungons, if you only have one mob to punch anymore) i have a feeling that all of this is just too much. i like the playstyle of mw and its great that ancient teachings actually heals again, but i just know that, if this goes life with the lightening changes they made, mw will get the hpal treatment of season 2 with a 20% overall healing nerf or a teachings nerf back to 120% or 80% which will absolutely kill the spec. i just hope they bring it in line with other healers while keeping the playstyle the same. Tune the numbers down, but dont forget that throughtput is the only real thing mw brings (aside from that hot garbage phys dmg buff) and removing that completely *will* kill the spec, like it always did before.
(Also i would prefer dance of chi-ji procs over the lightenig changes, after all i play a melee healer for a reason lol)

I am glad that it seems they are not changing how I play Druid. I always hate when I finally get in a groove for a season and then they say, “just kidding!” I am also looking forward to trying out the Owlweaving. Currently I do like cat weaving, but often if I think I am going to have difficulties in healing a group I go grove. I switched from pally to Druid late in this season as I just couldn’t get past the melee setting. For me, being so close just doesn’t work. Great stuff as always, keep up the good work and I hope we can get you to 100k soon!

I really feel like Infusion of Light should stop being a chance to proc when you crit and rather be a building buff that you generate by dealing damage, like Enhance Maelstrum. Makes so much more sense. Paladin lacks all the smoothness and synergy that Monk has. It feels like a bunch of individual spells that loosely tie together rather than the interdependence that Monk has build in.

I remember the last time Holy Light felt like it was hitting really hard in PTR...then they gutted the living shit out of it. Staying away from Hpal till it gets a "Mistweaver" level dev

Im returning to WoW again after a couple years break and these videos have been really helpful. I would always AoTC as a dps but rolling healer has been very interesting. The second i learn disc its losing rapture T_T. At least its seems like Holy pally will be fun.

All hpala mains want: holy shock coming back to being a strong substantial healing spell, no hard casting in melee range, dps higher than lock's imp, and not having to use 9 GCDs to top up a tank. That's it. But instead what we get is... this. What the hell, Blizz? Why so much seething baseless quid pro quo? I just want to play my main, and not be a liability to the group. Even the die-hard hpala Ellesmere has swapped to ret, as holy is just unplayable :(

Looks like I picked the right time to main mistweaver.

You forgot to mention that Hpal dmg is worse than a warlock felhunter. lol

I can accept that blizzard would want to nerf incidental healing for hpal. I don't accept more power given to holy light or even flash of light, the holy shock buffs are nice. There's no synergy with the hero talents. You can buff it another 100% and I still wouldn't use holy light if I didn't have to. The fact that crusader strike and judgement have support via lightsmith but holy light and flash of light don't explicitly is also a massive impediment to making any coherent caster build. Holy power spell clause talents in lightsmith might be a tiny bit of support, not something to rely upon, but none are found in herald. Spells used by the ranged monk healer build is supported in the hero talents either explicitly(conduit) or generically(harmony storage). I don't want another rework but right now, melee style gets chonky holy lights. Caster paladin still offers nothing melee paladin can't, in terms of throughput.

Infusion fishing, which is random, then prisming to buff a single holy light cast is clumsy imo. If tyrs is overpowered again, you change divine favor to hand of divinity which is another clumsy multi GCD decision. Silver hand only buffs one holy shock and is random. Barrier of faith is less flexible and I don't know what pve damage patterns get good value from a shield every 6 seconds(besides rot).

TLDR: Caster style hpal has no hero talent support, relies on random chance and multi GCD combos for a single payoff(that isn't AoE outside of virtue). Buffing the amount healed helps gaps in melee style just as much as caster so no real benefit to switching.

Jo, just wanna say that Celestial Harmonys Chi-Cocoon is 800k with my ilvl of 635, so its almost 13% of my max HP, not 5% ;-)
So i really hope that its not a huge nerf for the baseline cocoon but more of a buff on the other end, if you decide to pick JB instead of Gift and have the corresponding higher CD.

I know you are bot excited about their changes but iI cant wait will the priest video

Can we just fire all other healer class devs, and just rotate around the Mistweaver Dev? Whoever they are, they understand the class and why it's fun. So many other classes need this treatment.
