Bangladesh’s chief justice Obaidul Hassan has stepped down amid protests by students. Protesters gathered outside the top court in Dhaka, demanding his resignation. Hassan is seen as a loyalist to ousted premier Sheikh Hasina. Bangladesh’s central bank governor Abdur Rouf Talukder has also stepped down.
