Best for batch cooking large amounts of stuff like jarring applesauce. Peeling apples takes a long time with a hand held peeler!

I own something like this, but it Sparalizes the apples and peels them. It is so fun and makes cutting a bunch of apples so much easier! It also make me want to eat apples more because they aren't in big chunks!

We have an apple peeler that essentially works the same way as this, with the addition of spiralizing them at the same time as well. We don't use it for one single apple, but if you have a mega harvest of apples that you want to prep (for things like pies where you'd want them peeled) and/or freeze in bulk a peeler like this is a lifesaver! Instead of spending 1-5 minutes peeling the apples with a peeler, you set a whole box of fruit to the side and take ~10-20 seconds per apple instead. Then and only then is the setup and clean up really worth it.

These have been around for decades. Only now they’re made of plastic instead of heavy metal. Y’all should google what the first one looked like 😊 I give that slicer a 2/10 because I bought the same one and damn near lost a finger. I had to get stitches because the blade snapped from the plastic and sliced my finger open. 😣

I’ve got a REALLY old one of those. It’s made from pure metal and it not only peels it but it cuts the apple onto this spiral thing… the apples taste 10 times better.😋🤤

Ya you can buy a much sturdier slicer/corer that also has a base that pushes apple all way up thru the slicer. But that peeler is amazing, like it way better than the one that also slices/cores because you don't necessarily want every apple you peel sliced so thin

I used a apple peeler before then my siblings and I would use it as a jump rope 😂

There are much products for this that peel, core, and slice the apples. Not expensive and will last forever. Get the one that clamps, not the suction one.
