Pelikan Golden Beryl M200 Fountain Pen (TERRIBLE: Steel Nib, F) + Ink: Writing Sample + Close Up
Показать описание
Writing & Ink Sample. Plus a closer look at the pen and nib. CLOSE UP OF INKED PEN 1:38
The nib I received is TERRIBLE. I am speaking as A FAN OF PELIKAN. You can literally hear the violent scratching of the nib in this video especially when it is moving on paper from left to right, when compared to when it is moving from right to left. I will NOT be taking a closer look at the packaging, the ink bottle, or the specific dimension of the Pelikan M200 fountain pen. A lot of people have done that. When searching for more info on this pen on YouTube, none of the videos I found have managed to give clarity on how the ink looks like on paper. (There are some great pics of it on Instagram though). How the ink looks like inside the pen have also been hard for me to see, as many youtube videos of this set have been filmed too far from the pen itself for my liking, and the ink looks brown in all of them. A popular Pelikan reviewer also said that he's disappointed by Pelikan not bothering to match the ink and the pen in this set, which confused me further. I am glad to report that I think they match wonderfully. The ink looks brown because the gold particles always sink to the bottom, whether in the bottle, or in the pen like you see here, and they have to be shaken each time before filling up your pen with it. Either way I tend to not prefer to match my ink with my pen anyway, I like them to be connected in a complimentary theme, one echoing the other in some way, but not uniformed to each other.
Hopefully, although this video has not covered all aspects of this set, it can add to what conversations and information about them that's already out there.
The set can be purchased separately. Not sure if this is true everywhere. Ask your local distributor. I actually thought I was only buying the pen. The ink is nice so I am not complaining. But I am a practical fountain pen user. I use them to write in a mundane way and nothing about my writing is beautiful. So glitter ink (and flamboyant nibs) are often wasted on me.
