2021 End Of Year Video
Показать описание
2021 was certainly a year of change. I feel very grateful to many different people who have been a part of it, and to all the horses along the way too. I imagined this year to turn out very different than it did, but I guess in some ways it’s about time I learn things never go the way you expect them to! The year started off strong, Bella was in rehab and feeling good, Rocco was maturing well and I was having so much fun with Johnny. Then, it started going a bit wrong, I felt my time was running out as I fought Johnny’s baby brain battles with him, and the heartbreak that came with another year of Bella’s injury left me feeling rather lost for a while. But when Todd came into my life, I realised that I wasn’t ready to give up just yet, I have for a long while been patient and worked hard but that spark in me had never died and he just made it grow and grow. The decision to sell Johnny was one of the hardest I’ve ever made. He was my best friend, but towards the end of our time together I don’t believe our hearts were in the same place. He deserved to be with someone who he could have this with, and he did find her. Meanwhile, the months I had with Todd were some of my happiest memories - competing nationally and placing at BE100 were two things I was beginning to think I’d never get the chance to do again. I will forever be grateful to him, and his owners, for giving me this chance. Then something amazing happened - on my 18th birthday I was given the opportunity to buy an event horse by my Dad, and after a lot of searching, we found Johnnie. Who’s to say what 2022 will bring, but the fact I’m going into it with him is something I really do have to pinch myself about. Here’s to hoping the next year is kind to my Bella as well, because she deserves it after everything, and also to my Dan as he grows older. There are lots of people to thank for their support this year - all of you (of course!) my wonderful sponsors Beddown Bedding, Albion Saddlemakers, Dodson & Horrell, Champion Equestrian, DriRug and Ariat, but most of all the two most important people in my life, my ever supportive mum and dad, who never give up on me.
