Jamie Toomey | Black Gate Sessions
Показать описание
Jamie Toomey is a Galway based musician and composer who draws inspiration from Gyspy Jazz and Argentine music. Thoughtful and complex, his songs have that rare quality of transporting the listener to another time and place. For this show in The Black Gate he is joined by ConTempo Quartet, Galway Music Residency's ensemble in residence, and Agustina Taborda.
Funded by the Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sports and Media, and as part of a wider series of concerts with Ireland’s newly formed Live Venues Collective, The Black Gate assembled some of Ireland’s finest musicians for the recording of a series of concert films in December 2020.
Clarification: Maeve Bryan is the General Manager of Galway Music Residency. ConTempo Quartet is Galway Music Residency’s Ensemble in Residence.
