New look have got some lovely summer dresses in at the moment, and seem to have soft/sustainably sourced material ones.

I’m also definitely all for adding a belt when a dress feels a bit frumpy!

I’d personally send the jeans back unless I was willing to wear a belt with them

because:

1) if you wash them to shrink the waist band a bit surely the thigh parts will shrink too which you obviously don’t want.

And

2) if I’m trying clothes on I follow the rule ‘if it’s not a hell yes, it’s a no’

The stress of inconsistent sizing when shopping online (well anywhere really) is absolute madness! Think the blue, floral one is my favourite too 😁 The jeans look great! I also do the “twerk test” when buying jeans from anywhere 😂

I was having the same problem finding summer dresses then I popped into matalan and found I few I love, so maybe give matalan a look.

I think jeans stretch with washing so would size down as long as the waist is still comfy. Finding the perfect sized jeans is my nemesis!!

I recently bought the best fitting ‘mom’ jeans I’ve ever tried from River Island - the ‘Blue bum sculpt high waisted mom stretch jean’ (the label says Carrie but that wasn’t what they were called online!) - I like that they fit me around my hips but don’t gape at the waist! They are a little stretchy too and super comfy.

Shein have some nice floaty dresses atm but obv the quality of the material wouldn’t be as nice as ASOS - lots of polyester etc.

I really liked the blue dress but no point keeping it if you don't like it! I love levis but what I would say is go to an actual store, being fitted properly by their staff makes all the difference. A couple of my pairs have stretch but I have 711's i think, definitely worth the money if they fit you well.

Literally said out loud to myself "Are you mental?! That looks amazing on you!" When I saw you in that blue floral wrap dress. Each to their own I suppose. I actually like that style of jeans on you too. They look cute but comfy. 100% denim shrinks in the wash so you might find those to be perfect.

I did an ASOS order the other day and the only thing that fitted me properly was a T-shirt, normally ASOS fits me pretty well but the sizing and fit of some things was very strange! I’m also a bit Primark jeans fan I find any of their high waist styles fit me really well with no waist gaping. I like the Levi’s but I think for the money you need to be 100% sure x

I really like the jeans on you. I think you should keep them. Also, I got a couple of really lovely dresses recently from Asda of all places. I’m not normally a dress person but loved the ones I bought. And they had more on the website too. The quality was pretty good for the price too. Might be worth a look.
