The normal pH range for all bath soaps r between 8-10.soaps r basic in nature & the basicity enhances the cleansing property. But pH more than 10 becomes harsh to ur body. As the pH increases cleansing property increases but moisture content decreases.

But our face/facial area has an acidic pH (4.5-5.5) so using bath soap on face is not a suitable approach. That's why we use face washes.
