Want to clarify something because it is very important with some stuff going on behind the scenes that everything public is being accurately perceived. A colleague shared about being approached by Pete to see his cars. The way people interpreted that (while still fucked up regardless) was it was he rolled up to this person randomly and offered them solo to come back to his place. This is not to say that’s never happened but it didn’t happen like that with myself and it didn’t happen like that with the colleague in question. The above tweet was meant to share but also correct but it seems we need to be a little more direct about it.

So here’s that correction after talking to them yesterday:

A few of us were in the lobby downstairs where I was talking about the groceries thing. He walked up on his way out and walked into that conversation. Obviously an awkward conversation to have your boss walk right up to even though pay was a big topic publicly and I had had previous meetings with HR to try to get the pay band raised. To cut the tension, I said “We gotta race sometimes, I just got my racing license” becuase I used to drag race and now I can do it legally on NASCAR tracks. He invited me to see his cars and then immediately extended that invite to my colleague and those around us. Still messed up, especially two days before he knew he was kicking us out, but people are spinning the original tweet in very gross ways and that’s not what happened and why that’s dangerous is it doesn’t take much for bad actors to spin a narrative to make it look like the people are speaking out are lying and that hurts the credibility of everyone speaking out. They did not intentionally word it in any way but that doesn’t spot speculation from making its own story - we all see it all the time, my own shit included constantly gets twisted - why do you think I over communicate so much?

As an “Adult” there are “Choices” in life, where to live, where to work, how much money do I need to sustain my personal perceived style of living. Risk assessment is also something that an “Adult” should be able to perform. If you choose to live in an area that causes you to live paycheck to paycheck, then you have taken the risk of that decision of your own free will. How you manage your personal finances is also of your own free will. Life is difficult, it is part of the human condition. The X employees, if they are really good at their craft, should band together and start their own company!

Im not defending pete parsons. But, am really tired of Destiny addicts pretending its only his fault. Bungie brought this upon themselves. Everybody said what if Bungie cooks. They just need time to make the best content. Then when they deliberately half-ass the content. There's always a reason to blame. The same company that has copy and pasted the same guns for 3 years straight and called it "new content"
