If you say, Kylo was beaten by Rey who never held a lightsaber -
1. He was shot by Chewie, the same gun sent a storm trooper flying. Also, he was holding back as Snoke told him to bring the girl to him, alive.
2. He just killed his father, he was emotionally unstable.
3. He was conflicted and in canon it makes a force user weak, this is why Obi wan's force push had the same power as Anakin's.
4. He used Niman as Ben Solo but when he became Kylo Ren, he started using Djem So, to burry the Ben Solo in him . Thus it made it more difficult to generate power in his strikes after being shot.
5. In Tros novelisation, he stated to be at 80-85% level of ROTJ Vader at that point in time .
6. In comics, he defeated 3 of Luke's students in a lightsaber duel with ease and also collapsed a Jedi Outpost on them with force.
7. After being redeemed, he defeated six knights of ren using Niman, these knights are stated to be at the inquisitor level in Tros visual dictionary.
8. He is also stronger in the force than Rey, who's a Marry sue with plot armour.
9. Redeemed Ben Solo is stated to be past Prime Vader in Tros novelisation.

So just don't mindlessly simp on Shin.

I'm in love with Shin, but Kylo Ren is a Skywalker. Anakin's grandson. He is a great duelist and the Force is with him. There's no way Shin can beat Kylo Ren.

I genuinely love the design of Kylo Ren in the force awakens but disney slowly turns him into an emotional potato in the later movies.
He had so much character development potential but Disney threw it all away, he could've been the next Darth Vader.

Honestly i think it’s a tie because there both good characters! 1: there were several reasons that lead to ren getting his ass whooped by Rey! And 2: WHY ARE YOU GUYS HATING ON A CHARACTER FOR NO REASON SHES NOT EVEN THAT BAD!

Kylo in comics is pretty powerful and underrated. He scared Luke for a reason. In novelization and such he eas literally compared to vader and Anakin and was around the same level. If you don't wanna accept that then he was at keast 80 to 90% of Vader
