Tip to make those precise cuts easier: glue first, cut after. Also, use an X-Acto knife, mate! it makes everything so much easier, especially if you have a full set of blades.

i wish microsoft added a feature where you can change the colour of the middle thing on the xbox and you could have it be even changing colours so its easier to have a different colour instead of white and wont risk any damage to anything

This is the most helpful tutorial I've seen on this have changed all of my controller lights this way and honestly be very carful of the buttons they fall out easily i lost one and spent 2 hours looking for it lol

You could also uses some clear tape and a green sharpie and just stick it on the LED on the circuit board. So it’s not permanent like the glue and easy swappable to other colors. :D

i love how people doing tutorials like this say its super super easy, then they are like, *so you wanna take a screwdriver to the motherboard and starting taking apart everything really carefully* XD

Fair warning as someone who modded their controller like this:

Some kits will have stickers that will not give you the shade of color intended, which is usually caused by the button’s opacity or the sticker. Some green stickers will make the button look aquamarine once everything is done, and other colors could look the same.

You never know, so be careful before making a mistake that’ll be a bitch to fix.

Just for everyone else finding this out, here's a word of warning

This video is pretty good at not telling you that you'll have to tear open your controller and void your warranty.

It is not as easy as shown on the screen here

They should give you a option to change the light on your controller and xbox, i mean if they can make a controller that glows up then they can definitely do that

Thanks so much for showing this little mod, I would have never thought of it. I have a blue series x controller so I made the light blue with some masking tape and it looks super cool.
