Uh Scotty, Scotty, it's when it STAYS STIFF AFTER turning on the car, means the booster gone bad.

Scotty always tells you what you need to do or have someone do it right. Go with OEM on brake booster.
Scotty is a straight shooter. He doesn't pull the wool over your eyes.
Thanks Scotty for being direct

Isn’t this how it’s supposed to work? All cars have stiff brake pedals when off. Soft when on. Means it’s working.

Once you start buying cheap brake components you can't stop!

Despite all the terrible news this week Scotty is still pushing on. Amazing work!

I must be missing somethjng because close to 100% of the car parts we buy is either made in China, componets of that part are made in China, or componets are made here or assembled in China. OEM parts are no different so calling non OEM parts cheap is kind of odd.

I've ever seen a car's brakes padel that doesn't sink when you turn the engine on. the engine is supposed to pump the braking fluid through the booster to give you more braking power. it's bad when it's still stiff even after you turned the engine on not the way around.

This is a strange one in UK when you press pedal a few times when car is off pedal goes hard when you start car press pedal it goes down this is what it's meant to do

So what would it be like if the booster is not bad? Would it still be hard after you restart the car? Or would it sink in while the car is off? I love your videos thank you so much

Brakes, Tires, Wipers and proper lighting-
Never cheap out on these.
While most other things may leave you stranded these can leave you or someone else, dead.

Isn't it normal for brakes to be hard when car is off?

If your pedal sinks to the floor, pump the breaks until they are hard, if they don't get hard to press it means you can't build pressure in your lines, the most common issue when that happens is you have a leak in your lines

2003 suburban 285k miles. Never touched the brake booster.

If you have an expensive car, only the dealership and only the dealership can remove the abs codes. So you are wasting your money doing it yourself or paying someone to remove the abs booster. ❤

I literally just watched one of your older videos where you said it's ok to buy one of those reman boosters. C'mon Scotty, you're better than that!

My 1st car in the US 1974 Plymouth Duster does not equipped with Power brake. We don't have extra $50.00 to spend on this factory option.

Doesn't it it use vacuum made by the running engine ? Therefore it is normal for the brakes to be hard when the engine is not running

Is it the same if you don't have a brake booster and your brakes get power from the power steering pump. My power steering pump makes a noise when you turn the wheel hard and apply the brakes?

Dammit Scotty, how did you know? Yeah, I need to replace my booster. Well thank you very much for all the details surrounding this issue. Very helpful, sir.
