Douwe Vlok is a native from Beaufort West in the Great Karoo and grew up in the veld.
He comes from an interesting and colourful background with more than 25 years’ of experience as a seasoned tour guide including San Parks and the West Coast National Park He is a formally trained field guide (FGASA Level 2) and is qualified to lead hiking tours in the big five areas.
Douwe and Liezl began Heuningland Karoo Tours in 2016 which amongst others focuses on niche tours in the Karoo.
His passion and knowledge for the veld is highly contagious and you will leave any tour with enough information and memories to last a life time.
