The Factions of Phoenix Point, Revisited - Synedrion

Today we continue revisiting the factions of Phoenix Point by taking a second look at the idealistic scientists of Synedrion.

I've backed the Phoenix Point crowdfunding campaign, but I'm otherwise not affiliated with Phoenix Point, Snapshot Games, or Julian Gollop in any way.

Synedrion seems like the most likely faction I would ally with, though I do not like the fact that they want to "co-exist" with the Pandora virus. I'm hoping that you can still beat the Pandora virus without having to break your alliance.

I would ally with them. But something seems off about Synedrion. They're too open, all of their cards seem to be on the table, which leads me to believe they just put up a face to hide more sinister secrets under the surface. Have a feeling that they'll be the surprise villains near the end game.

Welp I know who I am going with. Much as I like Mad Max stuff, flame throwers and robots, these guys seem to be the only faction who will A. Leave enough of humanity alive to make victory more then a hollow revenge, B. Keep the next generation of humanity from being controlled by brutal dictatorships/theocracies and C. Help you keep your bases stable, safe and well fed.

Synedrion. Now I know my enemy.

So all-faction advanced classes are confirmed. Infiltrators will have best stealth tech with synedrion, Anu will propably give them immunities if not outright bonuses when it comes to actually operating in virus-contaminated areas on top of mutations and Jericho will compensate another way. I think implants and cyberlimbs would help but I can't think of anything else besides maybe suecidal attacks or caset bombs.

I hope it's possible to convince Synedrion of the intelligent threat that the Pandora virus represents - and how peaceful coexistence with a species that wished for our extinction is impossible.

Are there only 3 faction in this game or there also will be a bunch of smaller group scattered across the world?

There is one thing that got me slightly hung if Synedrions tech is as advanced as we think, then what's stoping them from making sleeper agents and sabotaging other factions using some kind of hyper advanced brain washing.
