I don't know where you figure an 1/8" pilot hole is the right size when the screw size is 1/8". I drilled the proper hole size to the instructions here and guess what, the screws do not tuck down tight, so the bracket is loose, and I had to find a larger screw. I suggest a smaller pilot hole.

How do you install the support bracket?

Lol… I’ve never seen these types of blinds with the brackets installed on the outside of the window frame
