The default texture projection can lead to ugly texture stretching when paired with POM, especially on steep surfaces. Fortunately, the POM node outputs world position, which allows us to easily fix this with world aligned textures or alternative projections.

Great series. The only thing that i can't figure out how to fix is the edges of meshes. I've read somewhere that there is methods to make like a silhouette cutout mask. But i haven't been able to figure it out.

Can you please clarify, are you using the same texture for the "texture object" plugged into the 'World Aligned Texture' node that you are using for the texture sample plugged into base colour?

Hey, when you zoom out in viewport, the sides of the plane look like they have a silhouette that can't be achieved only with parallax occlusion. And I noticed that you have some nodes on the opacity mask. Is that the trick? Can you please share with us how you achieved this silhouette result?
