The explosive growth of shared bikes, e-bikes, and e-scooters across North American cities has demonstrated the demand for micro-mobility transportation options. But their use has highlighted the lack of appropriate infrastructure. This panel will explore the costs, benefits, and designs of dedicated micro-mobility infrastructure. Panelists will discuss the paramount issue of rider safety, including an analysis of micro-mobility use based on perceived safety of the riding environment. Panelists will share examples of dedicated bike infrastructure from around the world, and discuss how future developments could redesign transportation infrastructure to meet consumer demand for micro-mobility access. Panelists will also show how slow-speed autonomous shuttles fit into the short-trip ecosystem. Finally, the panel will evaluate the best micro-mobility strategies available to existing dense urban areas, large urban redevelopment projects, and greenfield developments.

Weird that this talk about micro mobility ended on AVs... Loved the talk about bicycle infrastructure though.
