Ukrainian Apartment Block in Dnipro Flattened in Russian Missile Attack | VOA News

A Russian missile attack that struck an apartment building Saturday in the east-central Ukrainian city of Dnipro killed five people and wounded 39, including 6 children, Valentyn Reznichenko, the regional governor, said.
Britain’s prime minister has promised to send Challenger 2 tanks to Ukraine to help the country fight back against Russia’s invasion. It was not immediately clear how many tanks Britain will send.
British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy had a telephone conference Saturday.
After their phone call, Zelenskyy posted on Twitter that he thanked the prime minister “for the decisions that will not only strengthen us on the battlefield, but also send the right signal to other partners.”
The announcement about the tanks was made a few hours after Ukraine’s capital was hit with a series of explosions Saturday. Officials said critical infrastructure was targeted in Kyiv but did not reveal what was damaged. Explosions were heard in the city’s Dniprovskyi district, and fragments of a missile are reported to have fallen on a non-residential area in the Holosiivskyi district.
