Enter Network Credentials Error on Windows 11/10 [Solution]

If you have more than one personal computer on same network, file sharing between computers is very easy for you. Now, if you want to use this feature you have to enter certain Network credentials (which protects the files of the computer from falling in wrong hand). But some of the Windows 11 and Windows 11 users are reporting to have an issue as they are facing ‘Enter Network Credentials Access Error‘ when they are trying to access the files on another computer on the same network.

If you have a local network, you’re probably sharing files between computers. In order to protect your PC from unauthorized access Windows 11 uses network credentials.

This is a decent protection, but several users reported certain issues when asked to enter network credentials on Windows 11.

Issues addressed in this tutorial:
enter network credentials windows 11
enter network credentials the username or password is incorrect
enter network credentials windows 11 access denied
enter network credentials windows 11 disable
enter network credentials password incorrect
enter network credentials access is denied windows 11
enter network credentials but no password
enter network credentials disable
enter network credentials error
enter network credentials fix
enter network credentials in windows 11
enter network credentials on windows 11

Some Windows users are reporting they can’t access other Windows computer on their network because they can’t enter the credentials to connect to another computer because the login fails with the Enter network credentials error message The user name or password is incorrect. This post provides the most adequate solutions to this issue.

This tutorial will apply for computers, laptops, desktops, and tablets running the Windows 10 and Windows 11 operating systems (Home, Professional, Enterprise, Education) from all supported hardware manufactures, like Dell, HP, Acer, Asus, Toshiba, Lenovo, Alienware, Razer, MSI, Huawei , Microsoft Surface, and Samsung.

no joy, still the annoying popup and no access, even with all that crap turned off, made no difference

Hi Mate. I did all of that and I still get the pop up "Enter network credentials"' . I have tried to replicate what I have on another PC...but nothing seems to work. Any suggestions?

I have two PCs and both have the same account based on my Windows Live Account that I also use for OneDrive and Office 365.
So I use my Windows Live account for my PC. So my user name is the email address for my Windows Live account. Is that correct? And my password is my Windows Live password. Is that correct?
For some reason I can access the files from my laptop to my desktop no troubles. I don't even recall entering a password. But it's the other way that doesn't work, even though I have set up shared folders exactly the same on both computers.

One thing I am unsure about in your video, I can't tell which PC you are modifying. Is the PC whose folders you want to access OR is it the PC that you using to (unsuccessfully) access the other PC?
