Welcome to our new content. As the Weapon Detective, we are investigating modern weapon systems of the Second Cold War. The Weapon Legends is about the older weapon systems. We tell their epic stories, which made them a legend. The Weapon Legends investigates these stories, reads between the lines, analyzes, and tells the untold. You can find technical information, historical backgrounds, what happened during the development processes, combat experience and political projection. Let the wisdom of history show us what the future will be. Let’s investigate the veteran weapons of the past together.

Good video. I would have liked deeper coverage of the Vulcan's 'defensive aids suite', which was extensive.
Perhaps the RAF should have updated a couple of squadrons, with improved avionics and weapons, for missions beyond the range of the Tornado force.

Hey, it was in the James Bond movie, "Thunderball." We know that, but it also appears in the Winton Carluchi film, "Dr. Sayers Love Nation." When the Vulcan lands, Dr. Sayers is in the back of the chute. He's riding on a Bunson chair turning round-and-round.

The HP Victor outclassed the Vulcan on all parameters.

I always thought that it would’ve been cool if the Brits could’ve modernized and upgraded their Vulcan fleet into a longe range precision munition carrying platform. Much like what the US has done with their B-52 fleet, the Russians their Tu-95 and the ChiComs their H-6.

They've got one of these at Wellesbourne Mountford Airfield and if you ask nicely you can have a look inside.

Another wonderful video shared by an excellent ( weapon detective 🕵️‍♂️) channel...video clearly explained all characteristics of that British designed strategic atomic bomber (Avro Vulcan Roman God of fire 🔥 and destruction )

i remember seeing this plane the first time in thunderball a james bond movie from 1965, it was in syndication by the time i saw it. avro was an amazing company. had the canadians not been so short sighted and had a proper industrial policy to protect avro i wonder what else they would have achieved.

The proposed variant armed with 12 AIM-54 Phoenix missiles would have been nice.

The line “British aircraft designs are ugly as hell” is hilarious.
